TRITON COMMUNITY
FUND REQUIREMENTS ......(scroll down for requirements of
Tournament Competition Fund)

Application
requirements:
- Funding Proposals must be
submitted at least 30 calendar days prior to the
event.
- Funding Proposals must be
complete and accurate.
- A complete and detailed
description of the event must accompany the request
form.
- Maximum request amount is
$500.00
No email notification will be sent. Please check the Application Status/Review section
of this website to learn the status of your funding application.
Decisions whether to approve or decline an application are
customarily made no later than six business days from
submission.
Applicant must:
- Be a registered student
organization or recognized college organization.
- Applicants may apply when other
funding is not available or when additional funding is needed to
support their program.
- List other funding sources
supporting their event.
All registered CSI student organizations must submit a TAP 21 or more days prior to the event.
Exclusions:
The committee will not
fund:
- Events or activities that are
prohibited for student organizations.
- Events, projects or activities in
which there is personal financial gain for the student
organization and/or its members.
- Student publications including
newspaper, journals, magazines or paid advertisements.
Selection criteria:
Falls within one or more of Student
Affairs Strategic Goals or UCSD Principles of Community
- Attract and enroll students of
the highest academic capability who are representative of the
diversity of the people of California.
- Facilitate the retention,
academic advancement, and graduation of students.
- Strengthen the development of
interpersonal, leadership and communication and personal skills
that enhance academic performance, student learning and the
achievement of career aspirations.
- Provide experiences that support
the preparation of students for leadership in their chosen fields
in the global community.
- Contribute significantly to
improve the diversity of the campus and is consistent with the
Principles of Community.
- Provide opportunities that
support the transition to adulthood/development of
students.
- Open avenues for ongoing
interaction and involvement with alumni, faculty and
staff.
- Enhance campus community spirit
and fosters traditions.

If you receive an
award:
- Any unused funds will be
forfeited by your organization and retained by the Triton
Community and Tournament Competition Fund.
- Acknowledge in your publicity
that this award was funded by the Office of the Vice Chancellor -
Student Affairs.

TOURNAMENT
COMPETITION FUND REQUIREMENTS

Application
requirements:
- Applicants must be registered
student organizations or recognized college
organizations.
- The request must be submitted by
a principal member of the organization.
- The request must be submitted a
minimum of 30 calendar days prior to the event.
- Official tournament registration
or entry forms, including tournament description, must be mailed
to UCSD Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student
Life, 9500 Gilman Drive, Mail Code: #0082, La Jolla, California
92093-0082 or faxed to (858) 822-5880, prior to the
event.
- The decision on the specific
funding may be made by the AVC-Student Life and/or the Funding
Committee.
- If approved, the administrative
funding will be provided to cover the registration fees for
intercollegiate competitions and half the costs of UCSD facilities
rental, set-up, and audio-visual expenses for competition and
events involving other instituions.
- Maximum Request Amount is $1,500.00

- The University
of California, San Diego does not endorse events funded through
the Triton Community Fund or the Tournament Competition
Fund.
- Funding is
based on your representation of the event.
- Applicants
and/or the pertaining organization is responsible for event
planning. UCSD is not a party to contracts for off-campus
events.
- The
organization does not represent the University of California, San
Diego in an official capacity and is responsible for informing
others that they are not agents of the University.

FUNDING APPLICATION SYSTEM...

- This on-line
application system is used by student applicants, review committee
members as well as the system administrator.
- Your submitted
application can be viewed by all users to this system,
including other students.
- Only committee
members and the system administrator have the ability to change or
remove submitted applications from the system. If changes are
needed to a submitted application please contact the Executive
Assistant to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Life, Jeff
Walker (listed below) for assistance.
